Amy

Amy Verburg has been a dental hygienist for 22 years and has been part of the West Vista Dental team for the past five years. Her passion for dentistry began at an early age, inspired by her grandmother, who was a dental assistant and loved helping people. Amy grew up with positive experiences at the dentist, which helped shape her desire to create that same experience for others. 

Amy especially enjoys educating her patients, helping ease any fears or anxiety they may have about dentistry, and giving them the confidence to love their smiles. With 12 years of experience working with pediatric and special-needs patients, she brings compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make every patient feel comfortable and cared for. Her favorite part of the day is hearing a patient say their teeth feel amazing after their appointment. 

Originally from Lexington, SC, Amy is a busy mom of four children and two bonus children. When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending church, going to concerts, and enjoying time on the lake. She loves paddle boarding, skiing, wake surfing, hiking in the mountains, and playing tennis and pickleball. 

Amy believes in treating others with kindness, remembering that you never know what someone else may be going through, and always telling people what they mean to you. What she loves most about West Vista Dental is the team that makes coming to work fun every day.
