Tammy

Tammy Melton is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has been caring for patients in dentistry for 26 years, including the past three years here at West Vista Dental. She was inspired to pursue dentistry by her best friend and, most importantly, by her desire to help people. What she loves most about her role is the patients and the opportunity to make each person feel comfortable, cared for, and welcomed. 

Tammy has special training in nitrous oxide, anesthesia, and laser treatment, and she especially enjoys scaling and root planing. Her goal is for every patient to leave West Vista Dental with a great smile and a great feeling about their experience.

Originally from Bishopville, South Carolina, Tammy has called the Lexington area home for many years. Outside of the office, she enjoys being outdoors, gardening, swimming, and spending time working in her flower beds. She also loves painting and drawing and considers herself loyal, protective, and a good listener. 

When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll likely find Tammy enjoying a glass of sweet tea, watching a good comedy or On Patrol: Live, listening to country music, or dreaming about her next Caribbean vacation. She’s a proud dog lover, a night owl, and a big fan of fall and Christmas. 

Tammy’s favorite part of West Vista Dental is simple: the patients, the hours, and the work family. Her advice to others is to keep your head up, be yourself, never let anyone take your joy, and always take time to enjoy life.
